Love happens

I realise that i nvr ever post a movie review that is before the movie is already out =.= so now im sacrificing my time to study for the three tests next week and writing the review for "love happens"

first of all, must gloat. haha more than one month since I stopped joining contests officially. the only ones that i join wld be those that they send straight to my email, which totals up to 2 up til now i think and also ongoing onesones like the omy 2nd anniversary giveaway, WHICH I WON!!! (updates on that for future posts) n even aft this hiatus, im still winning stuff!!! received tix in the mail for "Coraline (3D)" n then now won movie premiums (poster and notebook) + preview tix to "Love happens"! damn high can~ ok on with the movie...
couldnt get a pic of the tickets...i suspect they reuse them man. its not those normal tix, its yellow paper with the poster pic printed on it and some other details which i din take note cuz i was busy buying subway b4 rushin in, kiasu, in the end not many ppl come in yet slowly choose best seat =D ohya and they were playing MICHAEL JACKSON's songs while waiting for ppl to file in. omg i din realise that i heard many snippets of MJ's many songs. n i din realise they were by him until yesterday (21 oct) AHHHHH~~~ n i was compraining how come i noe him but i duno alot of his songs. im so sorry MJ, RIP...
Movie poster and notebook
Venue: Lido Cineplex (this is the nicer bigger theatre, not the one i went to for "defiance")
Won from: Teenage magazine
What I had to do: Fill up particulars and maybe answer some questions i guess. Im not sure cuz it was a fill in on the website kinda thing, not send email
here are the trailers i saw b4 the movie started:
MJ de songs [if that is counted, cuz they did a short verbal promotion w/o trailer for his This is It movie.]
Daybreakers [woo~ i like the concept man. its new and refreshing compared to the rest of the vampire stuff. imagine everyone is almost vampire le except a few and humanity is up against immortality, which wldnt last long anw since they no longer have much blood to feed on. love William Dafoe "we're the folks with the crossbows =D"]
New Moon [many versions out there but this is the vers they showed ytd. shld be better than twilight. din watch the whole trailer properly in the theatre, now then see properly cuz i was still awestruck by daybreakers. then started wondering. eh how come its all vampire trailers...both are like vamps are generally bad, but there are good ones =D n that sharkboy guy taylor something is getting hotter woo~ with his haircut. shit im a paedo]
The Fourth Kind [issit just me or are they just showing us DAMN GOOD de trailers. gosh. this is thrilling too. but OWL? i tot it was hedwig. n wow "some of what you're gonna see is extremely disturbing" loved this part XD i think the doctor went mad in the end. the mosaic face in the interview...omg its creepy plus got true case studies, die]
Anyone wan to watch these 3 movies when they come out and exams end? THEY LOOK AWESOME. pls lets watch them!!!
ok first, the movie title is totally misleading. somemore note the tagline "when u least expect it". wth lor...ppl will really think that it is a romantic movie abt how two ppl who are so different ended up together =.= which is TOTALLY not the case. its not even near romantic. its more of inspirational. cuz in the movie, Aaron Eckhart's character Burke Ryan is some famous self-help author who help ppl to overcome their loss of loved ones through his book and workshops and stuff. he met Jennifer Aniston's character Eloise (pronounced el-louise) while he was in Seattle for a workshop. he fell in love with her but he still blames himself for causing his wife's death three years ago, and while he's helping others to move on, he himself cannot, and Eloise help him along the way.
first of all, OMG seattle...i was reminded of jaebeom T^T
anw the movie is quite farnie n quite enjoyable and got those tear-inducing moments too, cuz they cried alot and in my definition, seeing other ppl's tears are the main tear-inducing element. aft the movie, while i was lining outside for the toilet, a guy came out of the male toilet speaking on the phone and he said "surprisingly watchable, because of Aaron Eckhart....." no lor, its the whole cast that makes the whole movie brighter and a whole lot more realistic but farnie too. the scriptwriters are amazing too in my opinion, cuz the conversations were so witty and short n sweet. then the actors of cuz even at parts when there is no talking, just hum-hawing, they perfected their art. n the director or whoeva decides wad to shoot. GOSH the scenery is damn damn nice. mebe due to the angles(all from high high up) woots~ i suddenly had the urge to book a flight to seattle haha of cuz another aim wld be to try to stalk jaebeom and send him my well-wishes.

funny points frm the movie(mostly from the ppl who came to Burke Ryan's workshop, kudos to them making mi laugh =D):

1) they had a session where they would say what they have done to move on or sth, those "therapeutic" stuff u noe. n one woman went up to Burke and said "i know that we are supposed to rmb how they lived, not just how they died. my husband liked my cookies best. so i gathered his ashes and..." then she showed him an urn with cookies that have obvs been mixed with ashes. all Burke could manage was "hmm they sure look tasty" =.=

2) another one member called natalie said during some sharing session "...so i made a mould out of his u-know, so that when he was gone, we could still u-know.." WAHAHAH the audience in the theatre were like "hahaha" "omg" "what?!" plus her expression of like feeling proud but knowing that this is a private matter that she shldnt be showing pleasure abt in public added to the hilarity.

3) the very first time that Burke went to talk to Eloise to hit on her, she used sign language on him and acted dumb n when he din understd sign lang she just went off, as though she was mad. but once she was out of that place, while walking over to her van, she shouted to some guy n it was obvs to the audience that she isnt dumb, while Burke was still in that place stunned that Eloise is a mute. the next time he saw her, he realised that she cld speak n he had been duped. then he went to confront her. n say one sentence haha damn farnie the whole scene. "u want sign language huh?! *points middle finger*" while Eloise gave that damn dramatic and fake kinda shock face n like "oh!" hard to describe but watch it n ull understd.

4) another thing abt middle fingers. Burke brought his members out into the streets in the middle of traffic for a part of the workshop n asked them wad they can see and hear, ppl said "horns", "cars",...then one guy said "middle fingers" haha. anw the purpose of this exercise is to show them that as long as u use a different perspective, everything will be good cuz the second part was he brought them to the rooftop to listen nad look ard agn, same position, just higher up. n got more positive remarks then he started preaching all those inspirational stuff as usual.

other stuff to note abt the movie. damn interesting. Eloise liked writing very cheem words behind the paintings in the hotel that Burke lived in (btw, she was the main florist supplier person). for e.g. got quidnunc, poppysmic, and another damn long word (this was by Burke) which i carn rmb. in teh movie, all the words exists in dictionaries, but i just tried, cannot find poppysmic leh? ><

the movie set a new high for romantic. wakao they went to watch a concert in a truck which has a crane carrying the two of them high enuff to watch the concert frm outside OMG de shuang~

okok talk talk talk until damn long post agn =.= n shit at the time.
